What People Are Saying About Waffle House

In Short – Since 1955, this Atlanta-based chain has welcomed an all-hours crowd of shift workers, suits, regulars and late-night partiers with comfy booths and an extensive menu of Southern-accented home-style grub. Waffles (pecan or regular) are the restaurant's most popular dish. Other breakfast favorites include porterhouse T-bone steak and eggs, country ham, and signature hash browns cooked seven ways, from smothered with onions to topped with chili or cheese. Another bargain is the bowl of chili, which comes topped with onions, ham and cheese.
Editor's Tips
- Know Before You Go:
- Formerly a cash-only chain, many Waffle House locations now take credit cards. If you're short of cash, be sure to check before you dine.
- The Extras:
- A kids' menu features smaller portions of menu staples like burgers, grilled cheese, and an egg with toast and jelly. For diet-conscious eaters, the menu also offers a "Light Corner" with items like grilled chicken salad.
Good for late-night, drunken munchies.

I'm sure you've been to a Waffle House before. Dirty, bright, drunk patrons, lousy food, grumpy waitstaff. All the things that make it a must when you're also a drunk patron! We actually had a very friendly server, Marija, and the food tasted delicious at 3 a.m. Plus it was cheap and they now accept credit cards, which they didn't before. Two other benefits are that if you're a hot girl, expect to be ogled at, and we also saw a resident prostitute/stripper swing by for a snack. You can't miss it!
- Pros: Ambience, price
- Cons: Ambience, slobbering old perverts
