Save your time and go somewhere else

I came here to get a quick cut for my hair. The wait was ridiculously long for a waiting list that had no one before me. When I did get a hairstylist to come to my attention, he was bitter towards me even before I spoke. I did noticed that the customer before me didn't tip him very much.

He decided to take it out on me and tried to sit me in a pile of hair from the previous customer. It is unsanitary to not clean up before letting the next person sit. I was surrounded by hair, but wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.

The whole time I discussed to him what I wanted, he kept telling me he had no clue what layers were or anything I described and showed him, etc. Then he tells me that I would be charged extra for my hair length which wasn't even long. I was frustrated and he wanted to already cut before even knowing what I wanted. I ended up getting up and leaving to never come because I could no longer tolerate his rude attitude.

My recommendation is to avoid this stylist at all cost. Especially avoid the stylist, who I wished I got that name of. He looks like he is in his 40s and tries to dress 'punk' style, but needs to dress his own age. I don't know how the other stylist are, but I wouldn't risk my hair being ruined if they took the chance to hire this guy.

Great salon, great prices, great staff

I went to Mastercuts after I got a botched haircut at a high end salon. I figured it couldn't be any worse. I've been going to see Kerri for my haircuts for about 3 years now. She is always very precise and makes sure everything looks right. I trust Kerri so much that I had her do my hair for my wedding last year and it was perfect! She is great!

• Pros: prices, service, friendly
• Cons: crowded, inside the mall, parking
