Of course, this place is not the Wyndham or one of the other expensive places in PCB but it was clean and the staff was great. Of course the building does need a facelift but the management staff is working hard everyday to make the Inn Paradise a better place. Since there was no elevator to the 2nd floor Nigel and Robin helped us take our suitcases up to our room which we were very thankful of them doing for us. The room was very clean and I never saw any bugs. The view from the room was excellent. The location of the hotel could not be any better. You are only about 2 minutes from the city pier located across from Pier Park. No, they do not have room service and they don't have a continnental breakfast but that is not a big deal since there are so many places near to get something to eat. Our room was $49.95 a night so at those rates to stay directly on the beach I'm not complaining! The pool is large and very clean. Robin and Nigel was very nice and make you feel like part of the family. We plan on making the Inn Paradise our regular place to stay when we visit Panama City Beach, FL. We will be going back soon and plan on taking our daughter and granddaughter to stay next time.
We stayed in the Flamingo the first night, and it was a nice little place. Second night, looked for something cheaper and found this nasty place. Like the other reviewers said, the place was disgusting. The entire bathroom smelled like urine, to the point that I would rather go across the street to the gas station to use the bathroom! My husband went in there and sprayed all sorts of cleaners we had in his work truck and then mopped it up with the USED cleaning rag they left sitting over the toilet. It smelled a little better after that. The bed base was broken and mattresses were crooked, lumpy, and uncomfortable. We put our memory foam topper on and went out and bought a set of our own sheets. Their sheets were stained and gross. They looked dirty. We bought a couple of towels too because their towels were the same quality material as those hand rags you buy in the auto section!! They were stained too. The room was full of flies when we arrived also. All lamps and lights had no bulbs, though we did find some in the cabinets and put them in ourselves. The shower would only turn to HOT and with terrible water pressure, probably because of the broken nozzle. We had to fill the coffee pot with water to pour overhead to rinse shampoo. Additionally, the office was closed at like 7pm, with a note telling guests to knock on the door of a specific room if we needed someone. So unprofessional!! The pool was clean, and the location was nice. That's all I have to say that's good about this place. Well, the size and potential of the rooms is nice too, but the place needs some serious TLC to be worth it. Invest is cleaning and comfortable beds and linens, and people would be more than willing to stay.
This place was the worse hotel I have ever stayed at. There is no room service. The room is small for what you pay for it. I called the cops on the neighbors, and the management did nothing about it. We were simply told if they did it again, then they would be evicted. They should've said something to them right then. There was only ONE outlet. We had to unplug the phone in order for it to quit ringing with people wanting to make reservations. It was nasty. There were hardly any pots and pans to cook with. The only good thing about it was that it had a gulf view and the swimming pool was very clean. The place is run down, ugly, and I was ashamed to let people see me pull into their parking lot. I will NOT stay there again. It was a waste of money and time. Not to mention, at 11 pm one night, the guy who works there was being helped to walk by someone else because he was so drunk. I'm sorry, but that's not professional. Do not stay here. It's terrible!
My stay was just a bug fest!!!. My husband and I stayed at the Inn Paradise and left there with a lot of bed bug bites and quite a bit of the bed bugs on our clothes and in our suitcases. While we were there we tried to treat it ourselves with bed bug spray and alcohol. We also took all the sheets, bedspreads, towels and our clothes to the laundrey mat to wash everything. We would wake up in the mornings with bites all over our skin. We lifted up the mattress and was grossed out by how many bugs we found. They were all around the creases. A few times my husband would see one on my clothes. It was just bad and it made us feel gross and dirty. The hotel staff would not do anything about it. They said they would give us clean sheets but thats not what the room needed. It needed to have the pest control unit come in and throughly do some sort of deep bug killing because it was infested with bed bugs. So the rest of the time we stayed (they would'nt refund us the last couple of days) it was horrid to be on the bed. We didn't want to get into the sheets. Many times we would be watching t.v and we would see some walking on the bed, or when we would lift the sheets up there would be some under the covers. It just was not worth the money we spent. We will never stay there again.
This Hotel is UNSAFE!. We were on vacation with our 3 kids, 2 girls ages 14 and a son age 16. We found Inn Paradise on the internet and it seemed to fit our needs. We usually stay away from the high priced hotels because we spend very little time in the room. I am not hard to please all I want is a clean, safe bug free room. I called the hotel to make sure it was in a safe location, no bugs, clean, and there were no questionable people living at the hotel. I was assured everything was safe I was told they were doing renovations so not to expect the exterior to be pristine. We arrived and I almost cried, the place looked like it barley survived a hurricane. The room was not ready, we were told they were short on staff. When we finally got the keys the room was clean and spacious as promised. The kitchen however only had a couple of plates, 7 butter knives and a broken spatula to cook with. We had to go to Kmart to get new items in order to cook the rest of the week. We also bought a grill because the one on the patio looked like it had not been cleaned since it was purchased. We were still not really upset, we got the room at a fair price and it was clean and bug free. We met several families staying there who were not as lucky as us, their rooms were filthy. The worse for us was yet to come. After a long day Tuesday we went to bed around 11pm, we woke up to the Police banging on our door to let us know we had been robbed. I thought they were crazy, we had been in the room asleep since 11pm and no one had been in our room, They told us someone was seen coming from our room and they had him along with our things, we just needed to come I.D. them. There was my camera, purse and all our money, laptop, 3 I pod's, and my daughters suit case (empty) laying on the hood of the police car! We had met a nice young man the night day before who babysat for a couple who worked at the hotel. Markel (the nice young man) happened to be on the beach around 2:00am hanging with a few friends and saw this man coming from our room. He called 911 and had his friends follow him to his room. This man had opened our door with a very large filet knife and had made 2 trips while we were asleep in the room. The police could not get the manager to come to the door to let her know what was going on, we also tried to contact her the next day but she was avoiding us. We were told she was working the next day so My husband was waiting on her when the office opened. She denied he was living in the hotel although the police other merchandise in his room that did not belong to him. The manager was very unapologetic and basically told my husband it was over so get over it, it could have been worse. It just so happened a family entered the office to check in so my husband took that opportunity to flip his lid. We received a FULL refund and checked out right then. We later found out he was working there doing odd jobs and had been in the pool naked the day before taking a bath. How could you not know there was someone living in a storage room/room less than 6 doors down from your office? This place is not safe and by the grace of god our kids were not harmed. Do not be tempted to stay at this hotel! I do want to thank Markel and the Panama city beach police for everything they have done, they saved our vacation and possibly our lives.
Just plain nasty.
I was with a party of 6 families looking for a Mom & Pop place to relax with family. No need for luxury, just the basics and clean. This is what I mean by basic.
1.Electricity - Circuit breaker would trip with NOBODY to call to flip the breaker while your food spoiled in the refrigerator or no lights.
2. Water - We had plenty of hot water but the water in one of our showers would not drain so the office handed us a bottle of draino. (didn't work)
3. Air Conditioning - Ours worked
4. Clean towels - Our towel & wash rags were VERY well worn but clean. When we asked for clean towels, we had to wait for them to take our towels and wash, dry and bring them back.
5. Dry room - One of our families had to move rooms 3 times. The second time was because the roof leaked on their bed and luggage. Management did let them use the laundry room marked "for employees only" to wash and dry their clothes.
6. Safe - This is not a place for small children, elderly, or physically challenged. Steep steps with loose carpeting, railing loose or missing, questionable electrical issues, etc. The shuffle board patio area is blocked off because of the unsafe railings.
7. Security - Our rooms did not have any type of chain or bar lock for added security at night. Most of the walkways are DARK because the lights do not work or the bulbs have not been replaced. WARNING: LOCK YOUR DOORS ALWAYS! When we were there, a homeless man was living in one of the units (supposedly unknown to the management, which i find hard to believe if they are really managing the property) and was stealing from the guests. He was caught when someone noticed him coming from a room known to be occupied by someone else and they called 911. The man had gone into the room twice while the family of 5 was sleeping. He even stole items from the nightstand between the beds the children were sleeping in. SCARY!!! I am glad we left the next day.
8. Clean - I saved this for last because I could go on for days about this topic. Old-ok, Remodeling-ok, Things well used-ok, Nasty- that is poor management.
Our Room - After it had been "cleaned".
1. Empty beer cans in the cabinet
2. Dirty underwear in drawer
3. Chicken bone next to bed
4. No mattress cover on mattress, cover on box springs torn
5. Carpet so nasty, your feet would turn black just walking across it with dry feet.
We immediately went to the store for cleaners to spend our first hours in Florida, scrubing our room, as did the other 5 families with us. Some of their room experiences were worse than ours.
Outside.
Peeling paint. Stains, Cigarette butts EVERYWHERE, loose carpet, construction barrier fencing, trash.
Management did give our party one night free and gave our cleaning deposit back. They refused to refund our entire week, so most in our party were financially unable to lose that much money to go stay somewhere else. The management was friendly but after hours, you are on your own.
THIS IS NOT A MOM & POP PLACE. IT IS OWNED

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The pictures on their website must be very old pictures because the rooms are not that nice. One walk from the bed to the bathroom and your feet look like they have been dipped in tarr. They never had any clean rags we just had to use our hands. The beds smelled like pee. All of the staff were rude. There were large trash cans outside the rooms but half the time they were never emptied out and smelled horrible. One of the staff rudely told us that we did not need to use the trash cans but we needed to take trash to the end of the building and throw it in the dumpster but there was no dumster there the whole time we were there. The grounds right outside the door was like a large ashtray littered with cigerette butts and beer bottle caps. The are conditioner was located in a bad location so the kitchen was ice cold but the room was always hot. The TV had a line through the top so it would make the poeple appear they had minature heads and the color on one side of the screen was not the same on the other side of the screen. I was in the room with my 4 year old son when one of the staff members knocked on the door and when she seen that i was inside she just tried to open the door herself. Luckily it was locked. They only gave us four towels and two washrags for six people and we had to beg for more clean ones when those were dirty. We tried to fix the airvents where they would point into the bedroom and mold just fell out onto the floor, which is NOT healthy for you. The water in the pool was always dirty. WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND DO NOT REFER THEM!!!
Always enjoy our stay!. We go to Panama City Beach several times a year, and we ALWAYS stay at Inn Paradise. It's not the newest place on the beach, but its Gulf view and friendly staff make it an awesome place to stay.
Not the Hilton, but extra nice for the price. Arrived the week of Thunder Beach and was just hoping to find a place to stay; this motel is older and is very clean, nice comfortable rooms. I believe all are kitchenettes, which saves you a ton of money on eating out. Beds were comfortable. Staff on duty was very nice. Ammenites were a little lacking (you have to pay $2.00 for ice) but overall considering the price ($156.00 for 2 nights inc. tax) and direct access to the beach, grills for outdoor cooking, a nice pool and a clean room I consider it a great bargin,
