Great price for my gold. I didn't purchase anything here, so I can't speak to that aspect of the business, but they did offer me 30% more for my gold than the nearest local jeweler (Dynasty). 16 dollar battery replacement!. Charged me 16 dollars for a watch battery replacement and also damaged the dial of my watch. Stay away or make sure to ask price in advance and bargain for a reasonable price, and of course I would not trust them an expensive watch. When I told him that the price does not sound reasonable (I have had watch batteries replaced multiple times at other jewelers), he said do you want me to take the battery out, but your watch might break while doing it. Not proper business practice. He was a person with a mustache and glasses, I do not know if it is just that person who tried to overcharge me and whether the business is legitimate. I still keep my 16 dollar watch battery replacement receipt and will certainly stay away.…
Horrendous customers service.
I'd give them 0 stars if I could.
All I needed was a replacement battery for my watch. They SAID it would take about a day, that they would call me back, and that it would cost about $10. I waited for 3 days before I called them instead, only to be told that I needed to be patient and that they were still "working on it" and that they would call me back as soon as possible. It was a WEEK before I finally got that call. When I went in, I was charged $16 instead of the promised $10! $16 to replace a battery that would cost me $1 at any regular store!? Even given a service charge, that is incredibly expensive. I swallowed the extra charge thinking that at least I got my battery installed -- but NO. I took a look at my watch and found an enormous dent in the back, a humongous gap between the edges, and a deep scratch on the glass front of it! When I complained to the desk, they had the audacity to tell me it was the fault of MY WATCH, that the back was "paper thin" and even "pushing at it with bare fingers" would have bent it! When asked about the scratch, they said that "glass scratches easily" and that it wasn't their fault!! For such a flimsy watch, I wonder how I could have had it for an entire YEAR without it being scratched or dented?! It must have been a miracle!!
I am so outraged at their horrible service. I am definitely never going to Savitt Jewelers again.…
