What People Are Saying About Senor Salsa

In Short – Founded in 1979 in Los Angeles, La Salsa has grown into a chain of quick-serve, taqueria-style restaurants. Specializing in soft-shell tacos and other Mexican favorites, the restaurant's hallmark is its salsa bar that allows customers to choose their toppings. Menu offerings include a variety of fish, meat and veggie tacos, plus burritos, quesadillas and salads. Entree-sized meal platters--like the enchilada plate or three-pepper fajita platter--come with rice, beans, chips and salsa.

Great Salsa Bar

by beenzers5

Yes, parking and seating is limited, but the service is quick and the food is good and the salsa bar is far better than similar chains in the area. The chicken taquitos rock! I've never encountered any rudeness as the previous review states. Just fast, friendly service with great food and awesome chips, salsa and guacamole!

  • Pros: Best Salsa Bar in town!
  • Cons: Small, limited parking

recommended...but barely

La Salsa has awesome food at a good price, but the benefits stop there. It has no room, is often too crowded to even sit and eat, and the franchise owner of this particular location is completely rude. If you're unlucky enough to encounter the one Caucasian member of the staff (i.e. the owner), just leave and go back another night.

If you want great Mexican food though, definitely try this place. They have everything from cheese quesedillas to seafood burritos. I would say get take-out, but stop at the fabulous salsa bar while you're waiting.

  • Pros: the best mexican food around, at very cheap prices ($15 for 2 people easily...)
  • Cons: the rude owner, no parking, and hardly any tables
