Mexican food, more like Tex-Mex..... not bad for the only thing in town..
I've been in need of some Mexican food since I moved from Denver to CT. I found it by accident by seeing a billboard on a lazy afternoon drive. It is a bar but they do have plenty of tables to sit and eat. I had the enchilada plate and got one chicken / one beef with rice and vegetables. First the positive - portion size was large and I couldn't finish my dinner, price for most everything was under $10. The Mexi-corn was delicious. The beef and rice was well seasoned although I think the rice is one of those [love it or hate it] items. The beef is ground beef and the chicken was shredded white meat (seasoned but a little dry). Downside - the enchiladas were actually burritos as they were made with flour tortillas instead of corn which is why they were so large. The enchilada sauce was actually chili and not sure what kind of cheese on top but was tasty.
In the end, I will go back and try several of their other Mexican menu items and I am sure I will find something that I really like. Effort is definitely put into making the food taste good as there is nothing bland about anything that was on my plate. Now that I know it is Tex-Mex; I will be better prepared about what to expect on my plate. For those concerned about the heat normally associated with Tex-Mex, no worries; there was nothing on my plate that I would classify as spicy.
