Don't ask don't tell.. Very-- disapointed--been here before and had a memorable experience---either they changed owners or chefs. How do u have a seafood restuarant with limited seafood choices. Cause u have a pasta dish and spinkle some lobster in it does'nt make it seafood. I would have been more satisfied @ Long John Silver or Red Lobster. Ordered the calimari appetizer which was breaded scrape tenticles fried in 40W motor oil.The dumb blond waitress (I'm trying to be polite) had such deft tact to ask how much we liked it . And when we replied that we had better--she exclaimed---well well u cleaned the whole plate. Hey guess what --- I go to restuarants to eat not to have to complain amd send back food. What good is sending it back and waiting for some other autrocity. They are lucky I am just writing a review Iv'e been known to make a scene.

First and LAST time I'll eat here. My husband and I went there for Father's day 2009. We were in the mood for lobster and we figured The Fisherman was a good place to go.

The restaurant was only half full, with several tables open near the windows overlooking the water. But they sat us inside behind a half wall in the bar. Maybe it was because we had our 3 year old son with us? Anyway, after at least a 10 minute wait, the waitress comes over and takes our drink order. Two iced teas and a water for the boy. It took awile for the drinks to arrive and when they did the iced teas were definitely off. I thought they had given us iced coffees instead. Turns out the iced teas come in some kind of concentrate that they have to water down before it's potable, which they had NEGLECTED to do. Twice. I ended up just ordering a coke.

The whole ordeal was a disaster. It took forever to get our order taken, the food took forever to come out, and it wasn't even that good. Vowed then and there never to return.

GLP george, time to try again. The Fisherman is back!!!! There is a new attitude and a fresh modern approach to the food and service. The outdoor patio is SPECTACULAR and the place is doing great! The seafood id the best the east coast has to offer and the chef is friends with many commercial fisherman

Don't bother. The view and the bread are the only good things going for it. Absolutely the last time I will go to the Fisherman. Living just a few houses away, I have watched with dismay over the past two years as the quality of he Fisherman has dwindled. Every time I have gone recently, I swear never to return. This past Saturday I was ushered to the back of the bar because tables had been reserved in the bar for a private party (reservations in the bar) anyways was seated and then waited 10 minutes to have drink orders taken. The waiter informed us that we missed the lunch menu by 15 minutes and would have to order from the dinner menu. It was 4pm. Nevertheless, even though the lunch specials were still on the board, we asked for menus. The bartender arrived wth our drinks, two warm beers, sprite for my daughter and an iced tea for my son, who had ordered lemonade. He then started to argue with my 16 year old son that he had ordered iced tea and continued t insist on it. I put 10 bucks on the table and we walked out and went to the Seahorse down the street with the rest of the ex-Fisherman patrons. John Williams please sell this restaurant to someone who can bring it back to what it was when you bought it!!!!!
