Worth the price.. Gail and Doug have renovated the Altnaveigh right down to replacing the kitchen floors. Everything--the wholesome food, the presentation, the service, the drinks, the live music, the ambiance, and especially the way they dote on their guests--is superb. Make sure you try their fabulous lobster bisque--I've never tasted better. Margarita fans, you'll LOOOOVE their house recipe.

...Arancini con Funghi...breast of chicken Normandy...veal Saltimboca...confit Duck; almond-crusted salmon...fiddlehead ferns on a bed...mmmmmmmm.

And the inn and grounds are beautiful, Gail has peppered the decor with playable musical instruments and there's no dress code. What's to want?

Romantic. If you are over 40 and want a decent meal near UConn then this is the place. Located in a B&B it has a "stuffy" feel and small portioned food but I guess it's romantic.

altnaveigh inn. my mom and went to the altnaveigh inn on tuesday afternoon for lunch . it was wounderfull . the service was wounderfull . and the food was great . i even had my wedding there a long tme ago . but the new owners are verry nice and warm . it's is a verry nice place to eat.
