Sedona >Food & Dining > Dahl & Di Luca Ristorante
It's another world in this low-ceilinged Italian restaurant just off Highway 89, a world of flickery candles, romantic lighting, and old school piano players who give you a wink as you merrily consume enough of the minced garlic in olive oil potion that comes with the house bread to scare away potential suitors and vampires for decades. Really though, it's worth it. Other than that, the Classico Bolgnese was my favorite dish.
Amateur hour. We had 7 PM diner
reservations. We were sat right down, we choose the patio. We only waited about 10 minutes for us to place our order. The waitress suggested the special. She described it well, except for the price. We did not order any drinks and only ordered some sparkling water.
I wish I had asked the price before ordering, even though that would seem weird.
The people near us get served 15 minutes later, They look at it and say, "this is not what we ordered". The waiter then takes it and sets it aside by the outdoor exit. Then 5 minutes later the waitress comes over and gives us that meal, now sitting there for 5 minutes outside, the one removed from someones else s table.
So after we eat I get the bill. $86 for two small meals and water. Oh well I thought, live and learn. So I put my card in the folder and wait, and wait, and wait. No sign of our waitress anywhere. Exactly 30 minutes later she comes over to collect it. I said, that waiting 30 minutes to leave was not acceptable. I told her I was not going to have my card gone from this table for more than 10 minutes, tops. She did apologize and did return in 5 minutes with my card.
With these kind of prices for such small portions of food I expect really great service and not amateur hour.
Breathtaking Atmosphere, Cuisine & Service!!!. WOW!!! That is all I can say. My grandparents live in Sedona and said that this was by far the best food in Sedona hands down. My husband and I went up to Sedona this past weekend and decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked it we were in awe. The look and vibe when you walk in is stunning. It has such an enchanting look, we fell in love with this place. I was nervous about price when I walked in because I was certain it had to be expensive. I was pleasantly surprised, it was extremely reasonable for what you get. Every bite amazed us, the best food by far I have EVER had. Absolutely superb!!! We each had a drink, an appetizer, the bread and dip they serve (OMG…the dip is EXQUISITE), 2 pasta dishes and dessert and our bill was $65. We have paid that at Olive Garden for not even ½ the quality of food or service. I will come here for life! The whole experience was delectable and will recommend Dahl & Diluca to everyone. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary but affordable you must try this restaurant, you will be glad you did.
