Restaurant Chain Food. Javelina will remind you of chain type mexican restuarants - average quality, large portions, noisy - 'fun' atomosphere. We are staying in Sedona for a month so thought we'd try it. We will not return but cannot say we were unhappy. The food and service were okay, wait staff friendly and accommodating. I can believe it would be a better restuarant for a large group - when the focus is on the enjoyment of friends and not food.

Best SW/Mex in wide area. We were told Javelina was the best SW/Mex in Sedona. We were told correctly. IT is the best I've had in a long time. Had the Super Burrito. It was stuffed with chicken, I couldn't even finish it! It was even awesome warmed up 2 days later. Would definitely go back again!!

Very good Southwestern food. This is my favorite Mexican-style restaurant in the Sedona area. The food is consistantly very good, but it is not Authentic Mexican... more Southwestern with a Mexican flavor. The fish tacos are excellent and so are the spinach enchilatas. Great outdoor dining with wonderful views of the red rocks.

Love It. Spinach enchiladas are to die for. Sit outside on the deck on a warm day. Reservations key on weekends or during peak dinner hours.
