ozark guidance. have to agree, a friend of mine saw a dr there for over a year. The dr kept giving her more and more meds, she wasnt improving, just getting worse, she became addicted to xanax that was prescribed for 3 x aday. And she has now been in a faucility for 31 days getting off the stuff and learning how to really deal with depression. I would not recommend this place for treatment! Maybe there are some dr's there that are good, cant blame them all for one's mistake. It seems like they are under staffed, they cant really spend quaility time where needed, shove one out, shove another in like cattle at a sale barn. Im bitter cause of what i have seen my friend go thru, and is still going thru.
This has got to be one of the worst mental health facilities I have ever been involved with. I am planning to begin a law suit against this organization..
This organization is NOT a member of the Mental Health Care joint alliance as they claim to be. They mis-diagnosed my daughter, and the Vista Health care facility in Fort Smith should be shut down. These people work together and they are the ONLY mental health care organization in this area that is affordable. My daughter had a 5 day stay in the hospital in Fort Smith and it was a terrible place to be in ..especially if one is depressed to begin with!! Now we owe them over $7000 for one Doctor Visit which quickly made the diagnosis of bi-polar illness for my daughter. This man (doctor?) spoke maybe twice to my daughter.
I plan to do all I can to make sure that the people who are suffering with mental illness in this area(NW Arkansas) have a better place to go to, with professional people who have at least some sort of knowledge
about mental illness.
