Unique dining. My husband and I love 1217. The menu is consistent, for his favourite sandwiches and salads, yet the owners change it up often enough to keep it interesting! The food is always well prepared and beautifully presented. While the restaurant can get crowded during peak times, the service is always pleasant and efficient, and the prices reasonable for what you're getting. The restaurant, from the window boxes outside to the corners of the bathroom inside, is always immaculately clean, which is a BIG plus in my book! Definitely a place to go for a girlfriend lunch!!

Lunch is fine. Stick to the menu board for lunch. Otherwise the cost is quite expensive ($12 a pound for green beans?). The salads are fresh and plentiful. The sandwiches are good also. Most desserts are fine, but be careful of the cheesecakes, sometimes they are quite dry. The interior is pleasant. There is no service to speak of. You order, they take your name and then call it out. For the price I do expect more. When I or friends have ordered from the case our meals regularly run $10 - $14!
