Please Never Stay Here!. This was the worst experience that my family has ever had. Our beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. The room smelled like it had not been cleaned in months. The towels were small and worn out and felt like sandpaper. The carpets were so nasty. They agreed to give us another room but it was worse!!!. We had to get our money back and move to a different place. There rates were low but it not worth saving the little extra money we had to pay. PLEASE NEVER STAY HERE.

The Worst Hotel: Old, Smelly, Rude. The worst hotel I've stayed in in years. Yes, it's gross and way past outdated. Furniture was worn beyond belief. A good hotel would have thrown it away years ago. I couldn't get the smell off me for days, and our clothes smelled like smoke days later after they were hanging in our "non-smoking" room. And the staff is just plain rude, guess they think southern hospitality is a thing of the past. There are lots of hotels in the area that are a better value for the money. I strongly suggest you find one of them.

Horrible! Read This. Someone told me once that "good things are seldom cheap and cheap things are seldom good". They were right. We tried to save a dollar and ended up in this horrible old hotel. The room smelled "musty" and carpet looked and felt dirty. There was mildew in the bathroom and the commode didn't flush completely. Yuck! We tried to move to another room but they wouldn't let us. The staff is UNCARING AND RUDE. We asked for a manager, but were told by a grumpy woman in the lobby that a manager wasn't there. MANY other choices on the beach, do not waste your time here!! I think the positive comments were written by STAFF! This hotel is HORRIBLE AND IN OLD, BAD SHAPE!

Worth the stay!. Great price because it's actually across the street from the beach, but the 3rd floor pool has a nice view of the gulf. The bed had a very comfortable mattress. I would definately stay there again!

Not the Cleanest Room. The location was ok, across the road from the beach. Don't expect good view, unless you like seeing parking lots and traffic. My husband and I were not too happy with our room. We had clean towels when we checked in, but the carpet, bedspread, drapes, and other surfaces all had the look, feel, and smell of years of heavy use by smoking guests. The sign outside the room had a no smoking symbol, but I guess this policy is not enforced like in better hotels. The workers seemed more concerned with talking to each other and taking smoke breaks in the front of the lobby than taking care of guests. We will shop around next year and sure we can do better.

Great Room and View. My husband and I took a short trip to Gulf Shores, AL. The hotel staff was very courteous and accomadating, and the room was very nice with a great view.

Not on the Beach / Poor Overall. This place is really old and is on the other side of a busy road from the beach. Don't know how they get away calling it "Beachside". Seems close to false advertising. Outside was kind of dirty and inside room was old such as worn out carpet, bathroom fixtures and bad mattress. Some mildew and commode didn't work properly in the tiny bathroom. They're not a friendly staff, very surprising for a hotel. You can find lots of better places in same price range. I won't go back.

Great location, friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay and thought the hotel was a great value. The beach was a quick walk across the street. Service at the front desk was friendly and quick.

Dirty and Rundown Dump. Stuart, you must have run into the same employee who was rude to us. We recall she had short hair and smoked a lot. Can't believe they would put someone like this in front of customers. As bad as she was, our room was worse. Our toilet didn't work right (wouldn't flush all the way), the sofa was worn out. It and the carpet were very dirty. The whole place needs to be torn down and one particular employee needs to go back to the trailer park where she can smoke and complain without bothering people on vacation.
