My apartment was broken into two times. Both times it look like they had a key and just walked in the front door. And the only sugestion or concern I got from the property manager was to completely block my front door and use the back. Not maybe we can see about changing the locks or getting a new or better lock, just block your front door. I had to threaten to leave before they even came to look around.

Also, I take the blame for this, but they will steal your security deposit. I put down a months rent in addition to the normal security deposit. They changed management before I moved and I could not find my receipt for the security deposit (IT WAS STOLEN) and they wouldn't even look back through their books to help me.

This was the worst apartment I have lived in while in Montgomery, AL.

Students beware they will run very good move-in specials to lure you in and you will be robbed blind.
