Great place for more authentic Japanese food

The sushi here is mixed. I would say mediocre on many counts. The futo maki is good, though. Where it shines is in offering more traditional Japanese fare. The ramen is great, and the pick-your-own combo plates are always fun. It's nice to see a Japanese restaurant in the South that is more than a joint for Hibachi steak and chicken.

• Pros: Not the run-of-the-mill hibachi joint
• Cons: Sometimes the service is slow.

Very authentic Japanese!

The variety here is amazing! It's the only place in the south that I've found traditional Japanese curry. The wife and I had the "Mirror plate", with it's 8 choices of items. Nothing was really bad, and several were very good! The salmon has been frozen, but this is Alabama, so that's to be expected I guess.

Give it a shot, you won't be disapppointed!
