Paradise Cove Beach Cafe

A memory in every visit

  • Nightly Specials
  • Live Jazz and Mariachi Band
  • Kid-friendly beach

Bob Morris' Paradise Cove Beach Café is the only restaurant in Malibu that is right on the sand with its own private beach and cove. The next time you're trying to think of where to bring your family, date or loved one for dinner, consider Paradise Cove. Enjoy the beach, the people, the food and the giant mile high chocolate cakes. It's romantic, with a private cove, ocean views, jazz nights and delicious seafood.

Come for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, or just to hang out and relax with a drink. Our breakfast menu includes items such as Belgian waffles, pancakes, breakfast burritos, French toast and double cheese egg omelets. For lunch, we have lots of sandwiches to choose from, a salad bar and appetizers.

Editorial Review for Paradise Cove Beach Cafe – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
This secluded spot is the quintessential beach bar and restaurant. Sarong-wearing locals drink Coronas from icy buckets two feet from the water, while barefoot diners snag seats in the sand after ordering food and drinks. Large groups and families wait for tables overlooking the Pacific at the full-service restaurant inside. Sesame-encrusted ahi tuna steak sandwich is a lunch favorite, while seafood dinners include iced platters filled with poached shrimp, shucked oysters and king crab legs.

Insider Tips

When to Go

In keeping with the venue's long history as a set for TV shows like "Gidget" and films such as "Beach Blanket Bingo," movies are still occasionally shot at the private, secluded location.

Parking

Parking is $3 for four hours with validation, but you need to spend at least $20 on food and/or drinks. Otherwise, the parking fee alone is $20.

Where to Sit

The beach bar--which is really just chairs in the sand--is one of the most popular spots on the coast.

I recently went here as part of an off-site "retreat" for work. We had a large party of about 30 people but the service was very prompt and attentive even though we only had one waiter. The food was great and you can't beat the location. It's right on the beach and it has a very cozy, yet open feel. I'll be back someday soon.

Pros: location and food

Cons: Paid parking

For the very first time writing a review, I must say this is THE Best place to start. We had such a great experience from the hostess, server and especially our food. Huge portions and not too expensive. Take your friends and family here when you want to show them a great Malibu Beach dining experience. Afterwards, the pier is a wonderrful way to chill and relax at the Ocean...even great for photo opps!
