My wife and I went there today after a drive up from San Francisco, quite a scenic drive taking about two hours. We found the service to be excellent, and the place was fairly crowded when we arrived at the end of a Sunday lunch time. The ambience is early 20th century charm. The restaurant is in back of the first floor of the Union Hotel and behind a bar and a cafe. Multiple entrances, mean you don't have to walk through the bar to get to the restaurant. Apparently there is also outside patio seating when the weather is good, but today's weather was not lending itself to outdoor seating.

Now to the food, I had the Lasagna and my wife had the "special" Chickenpot pie. The food is served family style, comes with bread, antipasto, soup and salad. There is plenty to eat. Every customer I saw left with a little something to take home. The lasagna was good but the main comment on the chickenpot pie was "where's the chicken?" I liked the minestrone soup because it was thick with potato, pastashells, carrot, celery, tomato , beans, etc. I would return again, given the chance.
