This is a very popular and crowded place. I can only conclude that people are attracted to the veneer. There is nice outdoor seating and a good selection of gourmet faire to eat here, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. The food is mediocre no matter how attractive the label and presentation might be. I see it has a pretty high rating on Citysearch. Other reviewers must not be local and can't have tried other places to compare. It's expensive and over-priced too. The selection breads, cheeses, olive oil and mustards can mostly be bought in the supermarket, why pay a premium here? Indifferent cashiers and pick a number food ordering and service. Pass.

Great for Picnic's

I was up in the area in May (Mother's Day Weekend) and stopped by to pick up Sandwiches. This place was referred to me by the Hotel Staff at the Mosser in San Francisco. Food was INCREDIBLE!!! very crowded but well worth the wait. Pear Tart was to-die-for, Panini's FANTASTIC we stopped by Beringer Vineyards and bought a bottle of "White Merlot" to go along with our Panini's and drove up to a camp site. The staff was friendly even with the amount of people that were there and once you placed your order it wasn't to long before it was ready. A little pricey but you definately get what you pay for here.
