“went looking for a digital camera and found the staff at Best Buys the most knowledgeable about the product I wanted.”
“usually find good deals on dvds at Best Buy, but sometimes service isn't as good as I'd like.”
The Worst Customer Service I Have Ever Experienced.
I purchased a new TV from this store, and to my dismay brought it home to find that the picture had a noticeable shadow image. Hence, I brought the product back to the store to be exchanged. Upon arrival at the store, I asked for assistance with unloading the TV from my car, and was told to pull up in front of the store. I did so, but the store's employees merely waited within the entryway to the store and watched as I struggled with getting the TV out of my car. When I asked for help, they replied nonchalantly that they could not leave the store.
Once I had brought the TV inside, I was told that the TV had to be inspected before any exchange could take place. Laurence from the Geek Squad conducted the inspection, and was aboslutely RUDE - he insisted that there was nothing wrong with the picture, and said things like "I don't know what's wrong with your eyes", and asked me sarcastically "have you ever owned a TV before".
I was, needless to say, very offended, and decided to return the TV instead of exchanging it for a new one. The next day, I called the store to ask how long it would take for the money to be refunded -- the guy who picked up replied brusquely, "three business days", and simply hung up the phone without saying anything else.
Best Buy HQ -- WAKE UP!!! These guys at Watertown are giving your brand a BAD NAME. The fact that the TV wasn't working satisfactorily is forgivable -- the fact that your store tolerates employees who don't know how to be polite to customers is most definitely not.
