The Background – One especially hot desert day in the late 1930s, electrical engineer Francis F. Crocker looked up at the surrounding snow-capped mountains and wished he could be where it was "nice and cool." Hand dinner there and I saw a rodent in the restaurant. When I told one of the servers he looked at like yeah we know whats the big deal. Oh I forgot they rushed us.
- Pros: nice view
- Cons: Cost to much money; rodent in the restaurant

It is a nice thing to do when you are out in that area. The tram takes you up the mountain and the temperature drops significantly when you get to the top and I went in the middle of summer you know how hot it can be in Palm Springs. Nice view from the top, fresh air. It's fun just to go up there and take a hike.
Thrilling

I'm a Palm Springs native and have been on the tram at least 20 times. The ride is exciting, the views incredible, and the hiking and cross-country skiing at the top are awesome. You can find easy, moderate, and difficult hikes. Bring a picnic, you camera, and plan to hang out for the day. In the winter it's fun just to go up to play in the snow.
