In Short – Opened to the public in June 2001, the Oregon Garden is a large-scale, public display garden and botanical complex. It aims to celebrate Oregon's agricultural tradition and promote sustainable garden practices, while still being an alluring tourism destination. – The variety and abundance of plants and flowers on display is impressive. Great Day Destination

We just had an incredible day at the Oregon Gardens. The gardens are coming into to their own and will continue to mature with each new season just like any typical garden. This however is no typical garden, plants, trees and shrubs are showcased on a cascading plot of land with gift shop, picnic areas and cafe. The short 50 minute drive to the gardens is pleasant going through the town of Mt. Angel. Our children enjoyed the water features, and the unusual plant section. We took a picnic lunch to eat under the large oaks on green lawns always a good idea. The Gordon house a Frank Lloyd Wright original is also on the grounds. Fall should be a spectacular time to visit as the colors change. Oregonians should be proud of a place that shows off what our nursery's provide to the rest of the country!
