Too Expensive !!. $140 for four people. I should have checked their prices before ordering. $5 warm beers. $7 for stale chips and canned salsa. Top dollar for plastic cups and paper napkins. At these prices you should eat at The Palm (next door). Too expensive for mediocre food !!

Avoid this like the plague. WORST SERVICE EVER & A TOTAL RIP OFF!

As we sat down I let our waitress Hollie know that we were in a hurry. As it turned out I might as well told the brick wall that, since Hollie obviously could care less. She is the most incompetent and rudest wait person I’ve ever experienced.

After getting no where with Hollie I fagged down the other waitress and politely pointing out that others who arrived after we did were already eating. They sent the bus boy over to cover up their incompetence by using the excuse that they were really busy.

At that point I had enough and asked to speak with the manager who tactfully said she would void the credit card charge which I had already paid for the entire meal including the 3 drinks we had consumed. This was a reasonable way to deal with the situation, except for; I just received my Master card statement and you guessed it, they charged me for everything including the food I never received.

It's Patio weather in Nashville!!. Ok, so it's beautiful outside today(4/17/09) and I'm sitting up on Rippy's patio working from here on my laptop. This is awesome! They have really good food and really cold beer, but you have to see this patio. Something really bothered me just a little while ago to make me get on here though.....I just hope whomever I am refering to gets on here to complain and sees my statement! I was sitting up here, minding my own business and 4-5 guys come and sit at the table next to me. The patio is really busy and it take time(not long) for the bartender Beth to come greet them. From that point on they were assholes...one in particular. Long story short...they almost ruined my time b/c they were such jerks! Cut these people a little slack. It's not like she wasn't up here workingreally hard. Anyway, I love this place and everyone who has ever waited on me. I've read through the rest of the reviews while sitting here and all I can say is that anyone that has a bad time here isn't the type of person that was going to have fun anyway. This place is clean, fun, has a great staff, and like I said....A GREAT ROOFTOP PATIO!!!

Loved it!. I'm a Texan & I've had my share of pork ribs, but let me tell you, these were the best ribs I ever had. The coleslaw was really good as well...not too sweet. My husband had the pulled chicken bbque sandwich and he thought it was just ok. The entertainment was fantastic and the beer was cold! If I'm ever back this way I will make it a point to get to Ribby's.

Awful service ok food. I got to Rippys at 8pm on a Thursday night, a few patrons in the place maybe 20% capacity. I stood at the doorway for about 3 maybe 4 mins and not sure who worked there but no one said a word to me so I figured it was seat yourself. After seating myself I waited another 10 mins as I figured out why the service was so bad, 2 servers (one may have been the "hostess") where smoking cigarettes outside and 3 more appeared to be taking breaks inbetween serving others. All of this was occuring about 15 feet from my table. About 10 mins later a girl walked by and asked if was going to order something, (no hello, no menu and no manners) I said please. I guess when you're a popular spot there is no need to offer service. I got my food, it was ok but maybe now I'm biased. Go to Jack's across the street, the food is very good and the service is humble but present.

WATCH YOUR CHANGE. All I can say is watch what they charge you very carefully! The bartenders there were overcharging us. When we questioned them, we were told they were charging some patrons more to make up for the people who don't leave big enough tips!!!! WTF!?!?? .......DON'T GO THERE!!

Rippy's food. My husband and I went to Rippy's in October on vacation. We loved the ribs and the pulled pork, but the very best part of the meal was the beans. They were spicy and delicious. I will definitely go back there the next time we go to Nashville.

great ribs. My wife and I visited rippy's for the first time this past weekend and we were very impressed by the food. We went on a sunday afternoon and they weren't that busy so we sat at the bar to watch the game. I ordered the sampler basket and my wife had the pulled pork with corn cakes. First of all the ribs were out of this world! they weren't the type of BBQ most people are used to, they are a dry BBQ (seasoned and smoked but no sauce). The buffalo wings were also great they were nice and crispy not to mention spicy. The basket also came with sliced tenderloin that tasted fine but was a bit dry. Next time I'll just order the wings as a starter and the get the ribs. My wife loved her sandwich and her corn cakes she said the were just like granny made them when she was a kid (Granny is from rural alabamma). The service was promp and polite and the place was very clean. We went to rippys on the recomendation of a friend from wisconsin and we thank him for the tip.

Sorry but improvements are needed.. My family and I where real hungry and most of the other places we walked by had long lines. We where too hungry to wait in a line so we kept walking and found Rippy's. There was no line and we got right in (should have been the first indicator). The enviroment was nice and I didn't note any issue with not being clean like other reviews that I read. However the service was less than I expected. Our waitress would only make occasional appearances and would dissapear. The food was also bad. My wife and two children as well as myself are not what I would consider real picky (especially when we are real hungry), but we all commented how we wish we would have stood in line somewhere else.

Sorry Rippy's. I hope that you take steps to improve.

WHAT HAPPENED!?. I don't remember this place being so BAD! I ate there a few years ago and it was fine. We ate there last night and it was HORRID! The place was FILTHY, the food was disgusting. The waitress needed a shower. I would take a fire hose to the place if I owned it.
