In Short – Located just 80 miles west of Portland, this is the first stop on many a coastal journey. With more than nine miles of accessible beachfront, the beach is perfect for kiters, castle-builders and beachcombers. Its many inns and bed-and-breakfasts also make it a great romantic getaway. The "downtown" is full of cute shops and restaurants where tourists can watch saltwater taffy being stretched, eat tasty chowder and buy beach toys.

Cannon Beach is an excellent stop if you ever go to Oregon. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the water is cold...so most ppl dont go swimming. There's not a lot of things to do there..but it's still worth the trip..because the beach is so pretty.
- Pros: Beautiful beach
- Cons: can be very crowded during peak times

If you're looking for entertainment and energy, go to Seaside. However, if you want a relaxing place to go with great food, beautiful beach, and less teenagers swarming around, Cannon Beach will not disappoint you!
