Really sorry I recommended my mother there!. I am writing this on behalf of my mother because she is too upset to write this. I recommended "Hairdressers Workshop" to her thinking that she was in good hands. My mother is vacationing in Merced after her retirement and waned to visit family after visiting me in WA. She was able to get her haircut by me before she left. I have been a stylist for 20+ years and carry the credentials to say what needs to be said.

All successful salons share one thing in common. That is the customer comes first. The intentions are to make the customer welcomed, important, felt listen to, and pampered. The environment must be clean, sanitary and inviting. The staff must be well groomed, professional and well skilled. They must be able to interpret what a client wants by what they say and sometimes by what they don?t. This is our job as professionals ?MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT?.

Unfortunately, my mother got a stylist that had only 2 years experience. My mother was clear with what she wanted because I told her what to say. As a stylist I KNOW it can be difficult to understand a new guest. Nonetheless it is my job. The haircut was pretty generic over all. I cut it that way in hopes that a future stylist would follow the cut. My mother is a ?jeans and t-shirt kinda girl? and very low maintenance not a lot of fluff. A basic stylist should have been able to follow it. Mom kept telling her she was going to short. She did not listen. Finally Annette, a senior stylist stepped in and corrected what she could. Mom felt a little better about that, but still was unhappy because she looks like a ?butch lesbian?. She does not want to leave the house!

I called the salon myself to let them know she was unhappy and I spoke to the stylist who cut her hair. She was apologetic and was willing to give her money back. My mother is too angry to go and get it. My intention is not to verbally beat up the salon or the stylist in this review, but to make them aware of what might need to change.

Best Place I have ever been must see Letti!!! She is Amazing. This salon has a great atmosphere and Letti is the best there is! She is very friendly and conversational, I have always felt comfortable and well taken care off. She does a great job withs styling as well as dying, highlights and cutting. She does great formal and prom hair too. I would recommend her to anyone!! In addition to hair she always makes my eyebrows look great. Her prices are very reasonable for the great service she provides. She also helps to give styling tips and can recommend products to help. She is very knowledgeable about hair and how to make you look your best.
