One Bad Experience.
As a long time Marriott Rewards Member, I thought that I knew what to expect when staying in establishments that carried the Marriott name. Our experience at Marriott's M.V.L., however, rates as the worst experience that I can remember having at any hotel. The hotel consists of both Marriott and privately owned units. We, unfortunately, were given a privately owned unit that, quite frankly was a dump. To make matters worse, 2 out of 6 nights, we returned to find our room uncleaned. A 3rd night the housekeeper left our door open. Management did comp. us a couple of nights, but we would have rather paid full price for a nice, clean, secure room. I'd like to think that our experience was an exception, not the rule.
