This hotel may be in Wine Country, but it's no B&B. When you want to go big, go here. Staff can help you plan anything from a small corporate retreat to a gala wedding. Choose from 11 meeting rooms, the ballroom or the signature Stone Building with a private patio and lawn. Accommodations range from lodge rooms to large suites and private cottages with patios. Each large room features beige walls accented by white moldings and a fireplace; all are equipped with high-speed Internet access. A wide selection of recreational opportunities includes jogging trails, bike rental and a fitness center.…

Something slimy on the bed on my first night.

Here's the gritty nitty.
PROS:
-high thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton, italian made sheets
-Category 6 (highest for Marriott Rewards members)
-offer cottages - really cozy, out of the way, great privacy feel
-CHEAP room service. they automatically add 18% gratuity, but the price is about 1/2 than if u stayed at a Four Seasons
-decor is easy on the eyes. nothing too jarring or crazy.
CONS:
-something slimy on the bed on my first night. felt a "ball", about 1/4 the size of a dime. never discovered what it was. just washed my hands, and poured water on the bed the next morning and asked the maid service to change all the sheets
-ordered a cheeseburger and a steak, and room service forgot the cheese and steak sauce
-there's a charge to use the computers at their business center. how very cheap of the hotel!
- Pros: High thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton, italian made sheets
- Cons: Something slimy on the bed on my first night.

My husband and I went there for a weekend getaway and it was wonderful! Really good restaurant onsite and spa was wonderful! We had the couple's massage and the entire treatment was dreamy! Very relaxing and all the staff were very nice and helpful! Would definitely come back!!!
- Pros: Big rooms with fireplace! Good restaurant and spa!
- Cons: need to book ahead!
Beautiful and close to everything

Service is top notch here and each room has a cozy fireplace. We spent most of our stay enjoying the beautiful sun by the heated pool and jacuzzi. The Lodge is close to everything including the historic Sonoma town square although you hardly have to leave the property as the restaurant, Carneros, offers some of the best fine dining in all of Sonoma. A surprise hit especially if you can get a room rate under $200.
- Pros: good location, heated pool, in-room fireplaces
- Cons: no in-room safe, no in-room CD player
