This restaurant has been in business a
long time but we had never been there before. After trying it recently, we have been back 3 more times.
The service has been excellent and the restaurant very clean with a variety of things on the menu. Their Bud's beef is one thing they are known for and it is excellent, very tender, and full of flavor. The dinner salad is huge and comes with the dinner. For a added fee you can add bay shrimp to your salad which I highly recommend. The fish I have had has been very good. You certainly get enough food for your money and the prices are moderate.

Best seafood restaurant in the area. Good wine list and menu is full of excellent choices. It's in Lincoln Center with very good parking in front of the bar and entrance.

I've had brunch, lunches, many dinners and even had their "Bud's beef" catered. Consistently wonderful. If you like fish it is always perfectly prepared. Highest recommendations, and I'm kinda picky.

A friend and I were planning to eat around the corner, but with diet restrictions on this day it wouldn't work so we ended up at Bud's. Even though the restaurant was pretty full with Christmas parties and luncheons we were promptly seated and had the full attention of Valerie, our server. We placed our order of Fish and Chips and Mahi Mahi and they were both excellent. One of us is lactoce intolorent and the other no wheat, so this was a good choice. Valerie could see that I needed a box and she promptly took my plate and returned with my leftovers "to go." Bud's has been around for a long time with a good reputation, so when I see a review that is not complementary I question it.Then again anyone can have an off day. Give it another try. It was good, fair in price and the service was exemplary.

Clam chowder.....awesome.....macadamia crusted sole will fill your soul with happiness. Just wish the butter was not cold so it woul spread on the bread easier.

I went to Buds based on reviews alone while on business travel. I have to say that the food was delicious! I went for the clam chowder, again based on reviews and it was spectacular! Friendly waitstaff, drinks always filled, plates cleared quickly. If ever in Stockton you must stop here.

Tremendous food...all items on the menu that we have ever ordered are quite good. Bud's Beef is my fav, even tho this is a seafood place. But have had the crab Louie and that is excellent...fresh crab, fresh greens. However like most restaurants they smother the salads, so ask for the dressing on the side. Grilled fish is great: salmon, catfish or trout are done to perfection, tender but not undercooked. Full bar helps win this place points.

Bud's is a comfortable, family-style
establishment with great food and healthy portions. None of the LA-chic garnish-and-a-medallion-of-meat attitude here. Servings are Midwest-generous and the service is fast.
The Clam Chowder comes in New England style and Manhattan style. The New England I ordered was positively tasty and filling. The salad that accompanied my grilled salmon was big enough for two, and my salmon was very, very good.
Service was prompt. I liked the straight-forwardness of the place. No attempt at being anything other than a comfortable, pleasant place to dine on excellent seafood (though they also feature an array of chicken and pasta dishes).
In keeping with the quality of the food,prices were stiff...about $19 for the salmon but as I mentioned, the salad and the rice and veggies that accompanied that entree were very generous.

One of the best seafood joints in Stockton. A little pricey but well worth it. Food is great, drinks are mixed well and clam chowder is excellent. A must for Stockton.

I got the pesto filled salmon today and it was great. I normally don't care for steak fries but I enjoyed these. The sour dough bread and butter kept coming and so did the refills YAY The iced tea was perfect too. I would like to come way more often and try all the fish
