Tips for Graham Cinema

March 13, 2013

I love coming to the Graham Cinema. However, it is in great need of a good cleaning. I know that the cinema is in need of funds to purchase new equipment. Maybe if someone did a good cleaning, sales would increase!

Can't beat the price!. I think this cinema is the best! In response to an earlier review: granted, the theater is not in as good of condition as a new one, but at the new one, it costs me $20 to see the movie. I'm not there to enjoy the scenery, the lights are off anyway, I'm there to enjoy the movie. This theater makes it possible for my spouse and I, who are on a rather tight budget, to get a night out and not feel guilty for it. Great work for refusing to bow to the economy that keeps saying glamor means better. Absolutely recommended!

IRRESPONSIBLE OWNER HAS LET HISTORIC CINEMA FALL INTO DISREPAIR!!. This used to be the most wonderful theater I have ever visited. The new owner needs to take care of this historic landmark! It is absolutely filthy. The seats are falling apart. YOU HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO PRESERVE THIS CINEMA! Have some pride--Please repair!!

Great for date nights. There is just something about the Graham Theater that makes for a great date night. The seats are comfortable and you don't have to break the bank (sometimes I even offer to pay for my boyfriend) Dinner and a movie at the Multiplex can run anywhere from $50-$100. Dinner and a movie at the Graham Theater, where the tickets are $2.00 and free refills on soda and popcorn, well lets just say that there is money left over. The movies come to the Graham about 2 weeks before they come out on DVD, but that's okay, because they are worth the wait. There is always a seat available, the lines are never long, and where else can you make a "suicide soda" for only $2.00. We love the Graham Theater. So ladies, if youre like me and you want to pay sometimes to give your boyfriends wallet a break, opt for the Graham Cinema, where you can snuggle close and enjoy a good movie!

Simplicity + charm + nostalgia. This cinema is irrefutable proof that newer isn't always better. I love the fact that this movie theater still values its customers by not price gouging everything from admission to concessions. It's so cheap, you almost can't afford NOT to go (pardon the pun). Graham Cinema doesn't need more character, but it's unique weekly phone recording puts it over the top. I love the rocking seats. Where else will $2 buy you a primetime movie ticket these days? If you buy a large popcorn and a drink (free refills on both) you will not spend more than $5. $5 will not even buy one of these most other places. It may not be the most new and modern theater, but who's to say it needs to be. I'd choose this theater over the newer ones any day. I love Graham Cinema!

Graham Cinema reminds me of my childhood.. Growing up I saw many movies at Graham Cinema & still do as an older person. It's an old theater but is still beautiful inside. For me, watching a movie in a big theater seems more fun & exciting than at a small multiplex.... plus it is cheaper at $2.00. Also the popcorn & drinks are much more affordable than multiplex prices & you get free refills. The Cinema has top notch movies but you have to wait a few months before they come to Graham but it is worth the wait due to the low admission price. The only negative comment for me are the seats. They have lost some of their comfort over the years so I bring my own cushion from home. If you dont want to do that, you can use one of the free cushions available in the lobby. All in all it is a wonderful experience to go to a movie at the Graham Cinema.

It gives me a good feeling to see the Cinema marque lit up with all the lights aglow. It reminds me of days gone by but yet the Cinema is still with us & still showing movies.

Gone With The Wind. The admission reminds me more of the seventies, and the interior reminds me of theaters of th "olden days". Great seletion of candy, last time I went it was the only theayer that didn't succumb to the sour patch kids and jujy fruit craze and still sold good old fashioned Jawbreakers and such. Free refills of popcorn and pop, and you can butter it yourself. For only $2, it's well worth the trip down theater lane!

The projector broke.... When the movie projector broke during the climax of the film, for a few minutes we had no sound. Then, there was no picture. When we complained, the young man working there said that he could tell us what happened. I looked at him with a surprised look and he said that he couldn't do anything else and telling us the outcome was the next best thing.

Anachronistic cinema. Not too many places let you refill your drink or get extra popcorn! and when the ticket is $2 for an adult, that's cool! Not the fanciest place, but fun - good for a family night out, clean and comfy.
