I grew up in wheeling and been trained to believe dicarlos is good pizza. One trip to NYC changed my idea of how pizza should taste, no pizza around here has no flavor, dicarlos taste like cardboard and cheese.Vocelli's pizza sauce, crust, and cheese has great mixture of flavors to make the taste buds tingle. Most people get pepperoni on there pizza's, which is curled and burnt by the time pizza is done cooking. always ask for topping to be put on after its done cooking, if vocelli's changes this they get 6 stars out of 5..yea that good.

Gourmet Pizza in a Meat and Potatoes Ohio Valley

This is undoubtedly the best pizza in the Ohio Valley. Gourmet pizza in a Valley full of Domino's and Pizza Huts, it seems a tremendous boon for the Wheeling Area to host such a bold pizzeria, specializing in wonderfully flavorful while traditionally individual topping arrangements, seemingly to capture the attention of not only the palate of the most urbane pizza gormandizer, but also for those who are much more adventurous in their tastes. I've eaten pizza from Malibu to NYC to Istanbul (even Baghdad), and this is without a doubt a delivery dream. Kudos to you, Vocelli's Pizza.

• Pros: Sauce, freshness of meats/vegtables, suppleness of dough batter, delivery options
• Cons: Hours of operation, driver diligence

Gourmet Pizza!

I love the pizza here, not only because it is good pizza, but also because this is one of the only restaurants in this area to offer gourmet pizzas. The selection is great! They also have wonderful specials, and I can get my kids a basic pizza while indulging myself in something a little more grown up.
