JUNE 13th CONCERT
by KLAUSNICK at Citysearch
This $10.00-concert was a bargain -- the best bargain I ever experienced! The orchestra is small and may not be able to compete with those from Berlin, Moscow, or New York, but the Huntington Symphony is here and available to me, and it produces a large sound. The evening was total musical satisfaction.
The dedication of "Stars and Stipes forever" to our service men and women in war and at home was a reminder that we owe respect and thanks to those who protect us from enemies abroad and from ourselves at home. My wife told me, as the march began, "This is for you, too." I am an immigrant and an Army Veteran, and I appreciate that musical dedication.
If you have never been to a Huntington Symphony concert, you have missed a great experience; until the June 13th concert, I did.
