*BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN WISCONSIN**

by Lease412

Lara's is nothing but great quality and professionalism. My husband and I love Mexican food, so we even asked them to cater our wedding. They were delightful to work with, so helpful, organized, and eager to please. They served with class and elegance, and guests had nothing but compliments and positives to say about the food and service at our wedding. I could not imagine hiring a better set of people to work with. Comes highly recommended!

best mexican/latin food

by coffeetraveler

great restaurant. it's just off the beaten path in downtown oshkosh, but worth the trip. to north main street. interesting combination of mexican and latin styles with traditional mexican food as well as the owners own dishes. I like it that the menu changes with new things added to old favorites. Just a great place to go for a really nice meal at a very reasonalbe price

  • Pros: food, staff, margaritas

Not your same old Mexican food.

While Lara's has the traditional Mexican Fare of Burritios and Tacos, you will find that the owner Ada creates her own fusion style dishes like shimp veracruse and in a city that has a craze for fried fish on friday, she created he own special breading and a cold slaw with her own home made dressing that is great. Oh, the fish tacos on the mexican side are to die for. Lara's also makes a great mojito (cuban drink) and a drink they call a Bertha (pronounced Berta) from Taxco that is really good.
