Horrible Service.
After the burial service for my mother we came back to the church to discover that no food had been set up and they had already run out of coffee.
Finally, after 20 minutes of waiting (they were supposed to be set up over an hour before) the food was served.
The caterer disappeared for over 30 minutes while he ran back to Baus to get more coffee and also the desserts that we had ordered. He showed up as we, the family, were leaving.
Baus did give us a discount the desserts but when I asked about a discount for the coffee, I never received a call back. This was after numerous calls to them.
I am very upset by the treatment I have received from Baus. I had only heard good things about them before and in fact, have attended a wedding reception there that was fine. But if you need outside catering, look somewhere else.…
Classic Reception Hall.
This is a great place to hold a wedding reception or rehersal dinner. the place has several rooms of different sizes. By adjoining rooms, they can create a very unique party arrangement. You can
have both a quiet conversation room for relatives and old friends to catch-up and remember times past, while still having a great dance band and all the young'uns whoopping it up in the bigger room(s).
The food is mostly traditional, but there are a few trendie items, and I suspect there will be more soon with the new owners being younger and possibly more ambitious. But what they do server, is done excellently. And the staff! What a joy! Absolutely freindly and almost with a sense of ESP.
I really liked visiting there and hope the next family member uses Baus for their reception. Convenient south-side location.…
