Editor's Tips
- What it Costs:
- Wisconsin residents can purchase a day pass for $5 or an annual pass for $20, which is good for admission to all Wisconsin state parks for a year. Out-of-staters pay $10 and $30, respectively.
- Beware of Poison Ivy:
- Wander off any of the trails and you risk an itchy encounter with the stuff. Close-toed shoes are a good idea here.
- Danger: Rip Currents:
- Lake Michigan can produce severe rip currents within 200 yards of the beach. When large waves are present, don't go into water more than waist deep. If caught in a rip current, swim parallel to the shore.
