The Scene – Located off I-90/94 near Portage, Wis., about 30 minutes north of Madison, Cascade Mountain has 27 runs on 160 acres. The Extras:
Kids with an accompanying adult receive a free lift ticket. Solo kids pay the adult ticket price. Amenities include restaurants, ski school, snowmaking, tubing and equipment rental.
Know Before You Go:
Night skiing on the 18 lit trails is from 4:30pm to 9pm, Sunday-Friday; 4:30pm-10pm on Saturday.
