The Scene – It's not a ski area's height or the length of its slopes that matter most; it's how thrilling the ride down is, even if it lasts only a minute or two. Tiny Wilmot Mountain earns points in this category. Its short-but-sweet steeps have retained a loyal customer base since the ski area opened way back in 1938. – – The Slopes – Wilmot isn't high on scenery (the hill is mostly man-made), but it's surprisingly wide on terrain. Nearly 70 percent of its 25 runs are designated as more or most difficult. Eight chairs and five rope tows combine for an uphill capacity…

WORST EXPERIENCE

by nla78

Recently went to the tubing hill and had one of the worst experiences and the management has even gone as far as public defamation and ridicule to try to explain their deceptive actions. I have posted the article where the interaction has taken place. I am flabbergasted that they have taken this so far over an original request of an hour on the 2 hour ticket for $25 a piece we bought and a the beginning of our last hour the power goes out and evening was ruined.

This is the article:

Tony gives tubing a try at Wilmot Mountain

on RealMilwaukee (I cant seem to post link)

On the first run back from the small break the lights on the ski and tubing hill went completely out! We were sent down the hill at the exact time the lights went out! After safely arriving at the bottom where 2 attendant s came up to us to see if we were ok and that we had to grab our tubes and walk UP the hill inside the conveyor. These attendants were not prepared for an emergency situation! as no one even had a flashlight some kid used some light on his key chain so basically we walked up the hill in the pitch black as well! This probably took up about another 15 to 20 minutes to gather and walk up the hill. At this time we were guided to sit and wait….so we waited again for about another 15minutes and still no assurance we were going to up and running again soon. We asked the attendant if we could get a voucher for the last hour on our pass as we were getting tired, have kids to get home to and a bit distressed from the situation that had just happened. We were informed that there was NO management on this side to go speak with the hills side. We decided to wait a bit longer and it was now approaching 9:00 and the tubing hill was still not up and running. We decided that since our request was not that unreasonable we would go speak with the service desk at the hills and go home for the night. The women at the service were SHORT, RUDE and NOT COMPASSIONATE to our situation. After what had just happened not even a “sorry for your inconvenience” she said NO MANAGEMENT was there either and someone would call us back…well that didn’t happened and when we called again to speak with management told us no one was there again and basically didn’t care what happened to us and they weren’t going to do anything anyway so stop wasting our time and theirs. Great Customer Service and what’s up with the NON EXISTENT MANAGEMENT? Can’t believe it’s come to this over an HOUR VOUCHER I don’t think it’s that unreasonable of a request!
