Better than ever!. I have been going to the sawmill for a long time. I love the Benedicts, french toast, and the fish fry! Sometimes it the service is better than others but the food is always great. The owner, George, is wonderful! He is very gracious and giving, and will make it right if things are wrong. My only qualm is that my husband and I love to sit in the bar and we don't always get to!

We Love this Place. We've lived in the Washington County area for many years. We just love stopping to the Sawmill for the incredible breakfasts they have after Sunday church or really whenever we can.

It's also a perfect place for biz meetings with our Milwaukee clients - mid way location, wonderful ambiance and always good food and service!

terrible service, food ok. We took a party of 10 to eat at the restaurant, which included 2 kids. We were accommodated right away with a table. We ordered drinks and then food. The waitress was uninterested in our questions on menu items and we were not given silverware but served food leaving us having to ask for dinnerware. The waitress did not come to ask us how things were for most of the meal so we continued to ask passing by servers for water, napkins, etc. My kids ordered mac n cheese which was reheated and not fresh. My kids love mac n cheese, but they would not eat this and I had to convince the waitress it was not fresh even though she insisted it was. (it was taken off the bill). Ultimately, the food was good, but the service made it a frustrating experience plus the tip was added to the bill, leaving us no way to express our dissatisfaction. As we left we heard the next table complaining about their service too with the same waitress. Oh and don't ask for your bill to be split >4!

Get Busy. If you like home cooking this is the place for you. The food is pretty good and the dinner prices aren't bad. But, if you want a cheap breakfast this isn't the place. The food is good but the waitstaff sucks. They are mainly teenage girls that stand around behind the counter and talk the whole time. They need to get busy!
