Victorian charm meets coffeehouse funk..
The Scene
This house combines Old World luxury with Northwest quirkiness. Its architecture is part Queen Anne and part Neo-colonial. The interiors feature stained glass, beautiful woodwork and period lighting. As well, you'll find a mix of antique furniture from different periods and a scattering of contemporary finds. Although this B&B is close to downtown, it feels hidden away--it's tucked into a hill covered with 100-year-old trees.
The Details
All guest rooms showcase bedding made by a local artist and decorated with velvet tapestry and fringes. Although the rooms are filled with antiques, the decor in each focuses on one large anchor piece that the rest of the items were chosen to match. Some rooms have Jacuzzis, fireplaces and/or bay views.
