A great concept in Pizza and service. We've been eating there for a couple of years and I think its the best ever!!

The service is really good -- ask for Cathy (sp??). She is great and and a really good server - nice person too! Honestly, I can't think of anything to say that is critcal. The all-you-can-eat luncheon special is really good. I have my favorites such as the 'White Christmas' pizza and several of the pastas.

Cheap too!

I love this place!. I visited Tacoma from Boston on business, and I found The Rock. I had a great calzone one night and the BBQ Chicken Salad another night (I went back!) and both were great. The salad was really one of the best I've had.- the BBQ sauce was AMAZING. If this place was in Boston I'd go there all the time, and I'd probably consider working there on the weekends! The bartenders are great, the menus are copies of vintage ablum covers and they play great old rock hits. Highly recommended!

Avoid on Friday nights.. I've been to the Covington location two times, and both were great experiences. I love the food, pizza most of all. Since moving to the Lakeland area, hubby and I Have been to the Lake Tapps location once. The service was not good at all, just terrible. It was busy and this is understandable. It was just one thing after another with this waitress. This was also the 1st time sitting in the bar, so maybe they don't check back as often, I'm not sure. From now on we will be ordering to go. In the future we may frequent this restaurant again. The Pizza is AWESOME!!!

Good Friday Night spot. I live about a 1/2 mile from the Lakeland Rock Pizza. I know the bartender pretty well and a lot of the staff. I have to say The Rock is a great place to get pizza. I don't like tomatoe sauce so My Generation is to die for. They use a cream sauce so its everything I want. The service is a little slow but they are very busy. And, if you take a date there, its kinda hard to hear. Its better for big groups or going out with the guys.

Much better than the average dining experience. First of all Rock Wood Fired Pizza & Brewery has a lot of character which makes if worth a visit just for this reason. It definitely has a different vibe than you're average restaurant. My girlfriend and I ordered Diet Cokes which came out in enormous Big Gulp size cups. On the alcohol drink menu there is one drink that's served in a sand pale. The "sand pale" drink has a warning that they will only serve two per customer. This must mean Rock Wood Fired Pizza & Brewery serves honest drinks which is rarity here in Seattle. Now lets get to the food... My girlfriend hyped this place up like it was the best pizza in town. We ordered the pizza called, My Generation. My Generation had chicken, bacon, cream sauce, and ranch. It wasn't the best pizza ever, but it was very good. May be I ordered the wrong pizza because it was too bland for me, I should of ordered something with more flavor. My favorite Pizza place even after visiting Rock Wood Fired Pizza has to be Alfy's, but Im willing to go back and see if they can change my mind. I will be visiting The Rock again soon. Editorial Review. Microbrews and wood-fired pizza served with a sassy attitude; also on the menu are pasta, dinner salads and bar-snack appetizers.

The Rock Wood Fired Pizza. Although the restaurant has changed its' name, the awesome atmosphere and amazing pizza has remained the same! Known simply as "The Rock," Tacoma is blessed with the presence of the freshest, most delicious New York style Pizza. I hear that they have even won awards. I love to go here with friends and family. Check it out!
