The Liberty Theatre has closed its doors..
Before the influx of multi- and mega-plexes, there was the Liberty Theatre.
Built in 1924, this 540-seat auditorium in downtown Puyallup shows second-run movies (shows before 6 p.m. are just $1.50).
The Liberty also offers cheap eats in its newly renovated snack bar -- a bottomless tub of popcorn with free refills will set you back $3.50. The snack bar also offers candy, ice cream, soft drinks and bottled water.
Restrooms are located upstairs next to the area that once served as the theater's balcony.
There are five showings daily, and the theater is open 365 days a year.
