Tips for Casa Mia

January 29, 2013

I LOVE Casa Mia! We try to go here every time we're in the area. The salads and yummy garlic bread are delish! and super great price! The staff are more than helpful, and the restaurant is super clean & cozy.

If you want a good family friendly italian/american restaurant, Casa Mia is the place!

Order the garlic bread & marinara....you wont be sorry! :)

No way!. I really had my hopes up for this place! Authentic it is not...the cheese pizza we ordered was horrible. It was flavorless and soggy! Cheese pizza is supposed to be slightly browned on the top...like it was actually baked in a wood-fired oven. The pasta sauce tastes like it came out of a very old can! The table was dirty and the server definitiely needed some customer service training. I just can't even begin to compare it to any authentic Italian restaurant...because it purely sucked! If you want good Pizza in Puyallup...go to Trackside!

Editorial Review. Small-town family vibes coupled with Italian gusto produces pizzas, pastas and more at this popular Puyallup spot.

My all time favorite!. More than once have I driven a couple of hours to get take-out at Casa Mia (of which I waited all of 5 minutes to get my food!). I pretty much grew up on Casa Mia in Olympia (and rarely skip a chance to go there when I visit family) but my closest Casa Mia is Puyallup which is about an hours drive; that is when there is no traffic! Anyone who's been willing to go for the ride with me I've happily taken there, and I have yet to hear a complaint. I have very discriminating taste and Casa Mia is excellent! "True Italian" probably not, but the food is still excellent. The green salad (with the house italian dressing A MUST- they even bottle it it's so good) is superb- I like my salads simple so it works for me. The garlic bread- fabulous! The spaghetti w/marinara sauce- amazing! Meatball sandwiches- good! The prices are cheap. Not unusual to get dinner for 2 for $15 which is just about unheard of anymore, especially something that actually tastes good to boot! I was surprised by the comments that Casa Mia is romantic and/or non-family. I think the it's the total opposite...great for families and kids and not a very romantic spot (might slightly differ per location). The staff has always been friendly, especially at the Puyallup location. Oh, and that dressing I mentioned? I always have a bottle at home since no other bottled viniagrette even comes close, especially at around $2.50 a bottle, and it's even been requested by out of state relatives as gifts! I've said it for years and will hopefully for many more...my all time favorite restaurant is Casa Mia!

Ick. Ick! I have had a few items on their menu and was not pleased. The pizza is ok at best, but this is a typical small town restaurant...not authentic Italian at all. No full flavors, spices or fresh ingredients. Everything is covered up by cheese. If you have nowhere else to eat and live in the area, it's ok, but not good.

Oh my gosh. Absolutely without a doubt the best kept secret around. The best pizza and spaghetti with meat sauce I've had in a resaurant. My husband and I were shocked. We drove by it all of the time. That won't happen much anymore.

Delizioso!. This wonderful little restaraunt offers a warm and cozy atmosphere with wonderful service and even better food. Their chicken and three cheese pizza is the best I have ever tasted! Delivery doesn't compare once you've tried it. I think their salad leaves a bit to be desired but my husband adores it. I would highly recommend Casa Mia to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to dine.

Molto Bene!. Lovely romantic getaway. I've been here several times. The salad is always wonderfully minimalistic, with few unnecessary additions (only lettuce, cheese, black olives and dressing), but large in portion. Sodas come served in large carafes, which is a nice change from the norm. Overall, one restaurant I will return to again and again! I have taken children here before and had no problems, but it's not Chucky Cheese, thank God!

Great romantic place!. I read the review from the man about taking his family there. It is clearly not a family restraunt I agree. It is a very romantic and quiet setting. The first time I was there I was completely impressed by the food and the service. The cook especially! Maybe this man went there on a bad night, because I have grown up with a mother who was taught to cook by Italians, and mmmmm, their food is, how do you say, squisito! (Meaning delicious)

Anyone with children, this is definately not the setting you are looking for... couples looking for a nice dinner out? Perfetto! Perfect!
