What People Are Saying About L & R Automotive
great service
by mtweaver
I have recently taken two vehicles, a dodge durango and a chevy s10 to L&R. Both times they took the time to shop around for the best price on parts, they were up front about what the service was going to cost, and they did good work. I felt the guys down there were honest and professional.
BEWARE!
by svwhirlwind
BEWARE! My father had his car towed there for repairs after a friend reccomended them. He was way over charged. The car was not running right and he barely made it home and had to bring the car back again for more repairs, which we felt they had caused the new problem. They claim to have a certified BMW Mechanic Be ware of this place! They are a rip off!!!!
Good Service, Comparable Price. Voted best repair shop in Kitsap multiple years, AAA Top Shop
by kitsapgirl
I've been a long time customer of this establishment, and am consistently pleased with the level of service I receive. They are upfront and honest about the work they are doing. If they notice something, they will let me know if it needs urgent attention, or is something to be aware of. I recommend this shop to everyone I know.
This shop is AAA approved, does quick and quality work, and the employees are friendly. They have also been voted best Kitsap repair shop numerous times.
"L&R Automotive and Peninsula Subaru of Bremerton, Bay Ford of Port Orchard and North Kitsap Auto Rebuild have been recognized as AAA Top Shops by AAA Washington, which evaluates the repair work, courtesy of shop employees and shop cleanliness. They are measured by customer-satisfaction survey cards. Before being eligible for a AAA Top Shop Award, shops must meet AAA's precise standards to become part of the approved repair network."
- Pros: Great Service, Great Quality Work
- Cons: None
Over-priced and not worth the effort.

Twice now this company has screwed me over. My fiancee recently had to get some service and asked specifically for them to contact her once they diagnosed the problem. They went ahead and serviced the vehicle without contacting us and charged us $300+. All that needed to be done was to replace ONLY 2 distributor cables. They also drained some transmisssion fluid. All of this was done without our knowing about it. I know for a fact a new set of distributor cables are less than $75 and replacing them takes 15 mins. max. How they get off charging us $300 for that is beyond me. They screwed me once before on my old car when they replaced the racking pinion. When that same part failed less than 1 year later they claimed they never even worked on the vehicle. This place has a good reputation in the community but they are not worth the service. Try Harlow Auto Repair down on Perry Ave. instead - quality work for an extremely fair price!
- Pros: Good reputation in the community.
- Cons: Unprofessional in handling clients' request!!!
