A Victorian bed and breakfast in the Berkeley of the Northwest. – The Scene
This 106-year-old Queen Anne-style home overlooks Bellingham Bay and is within three blocks of Western Washington University and downtown Bellingham. Around 80 percent of the people who book a room here are teachers or academics. Many visitors are also vegetarians or vegans.
The house has ten rooms, each individually decorated with its own theme. The Comstock Room, for example, was one of most popular because of its views of the San Juan Islands, the bay and downtown. It also had a stained, leaded-glass window and a sitting area. Eight of the rooms had private baths, while two rooms shared a bath.
Home away from Home – I try to stay at the North Garden Inn as often as possible. It is truly like a home away from home for me. The rooms are comfortable, warm, and inviting. The service is superb, the host congenial and charming. The included breakfast is a banquet of fresh rolls, muffins, fruit, cereal, egg dishes, rich coffee, and more! All expertly prepared and served in a lovely dining room with a gorgeous veiw of the bay. All of this, and priced very reasonably.
