Think twice before moving here
by Desperate
Beware the management at this property is absolutely possessed with running the tenants life’s to the point that you cannot have any privacy. They post Constant notes on our door and public notices to attend meetings. The latest issue is our Cable Television service. They are replacing our existing service with Comcast one of the most hated companies in the US. We have had the present service for many years and have been very happy with it. Comcast’s rates will double our monthly cost for cable. They recently hiked our rent about 15% and with the high cost of fuel for our vehicles we cannot afford to live here anymore so we have decided to move at the end of our lease. The management are young people and do not understand that you cannot demand respect you must earn it. I hope the owners make changes soon for the sake of the remaining Tenants.
Has this place improved any?

I see the bad rating on this complex does anyone have any current remarks on this place?
I'm looking to relocate to the area through my job so housing is critical to me.
Thanks
PS, had to put a rating down even though I just have a question so I chose the last posters rating. Sorry.

I have lived in Padden Creek Apartments for several years. This year, 2008, we got new management, which has been a disappointment in a few ways. First, we learned that the old managers were charging different rent rates to everyone! Those they were friends with paid less and also got free car port parking spots. When the new managers told this to us, they did so as they were raising everyone's rent. They didn't even mention a rebate for all those years we overpaid! Nor did they seem to really care or be embarrassed that that happened.
We've also had problems with noisy neighbors and have been told that nothing can be done. And don't even ask me about the new parking situation where residents are asked to park their second vehicle on the street - when there are lots of assigned parking spots that remain empty! To top it all off, we recently found out that there is a serious mold problem in the attic above our place that management has known about and has done nothing!
These aren't even all of my complaints.... The biggest one, though, is that management, in general, is unresponsive to concerns. That is why I'm writing this review; I want others to be aware of what they'll be getting into should they consider moving into Padden Creek.
The only thing I like about this place is that it's in beautiful Fairhaven. But there are other places to live in this town, and I will be in one of them.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Just about everything else
