The comforts of home with beautiful lake and mountain views.. The Scene
Lots of brick and white painted wood give this three-story house a homey feel. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and offers great views of Lake Champlain, especially from its well-named Lake View Room, a pleasant place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The B&B does brisk business year-round. Guests come in the spring and summer for beach activities, autumn for the leaves and winter for snow sports.

The Details
Furnishings and accent pieces seem thoughtfully chosen and personal. Accommodations include the busy, cozy Philadelphia Room, with dark wood and lots of floral prints, and the more streamlined Marrimack Room, which has a velvet sofa. These two rooms share a bathroom. The Victorian Suite features a beautiful carved headboard. Its private bathroom has a claw-foot tub. A full country breakfast is served in the dining room, whose table sits beneath a crystal chandelier. There are three sitting rooms on the first floor. On sunny days, guests can wander the perennial gardens.
