Rates highly with skiers for its pleasant, trademark low-key atmosphere..
The Scene
Bromley has long been firmly entrenched as a local skier's mountain--with good reason. Its pricing, along with its plentiful beginner and intermediate terrain, attracts day skiers from around southern Vermont, college kids and families. A slope-side village offers convenience, but many opt for the bustle of Manchester's outlet mania and its fancy inns and nice BBs, which are just 15 minutes away.
The Slopes
Bromley is friendly in its skiing, which predominantly features top-to-bottom beginner and intermediate runs. The south-facing slopes are hospitable, though the exposure means it loses snow faster when thaws hit. Recent additions include two new quad chairs, one of which is detachable. Bromley also has made a pitch for snowboarders with two snowboard parks, which offer up brief, but challenging, expert terrain.
