Superb Horse Care

I can't say enough good things about Jamie Soetaert and the All Creatures Animal Center. My husband and I were visiting Monterey for a horse show when our horse trailer broke. We called several horse facilities and all were willing to care for our horses, but none could help us get the horses from where the trailer broke to their facilities.

A call to All Creatures got Jamie on the phone. As soon as I explained our difficulties, Jamie took them on as her own. She showed up in a Jeep pulling an old Miley horse trailer and stayed with us while the wrecker towed our trailer to a place to get fixed. Jamie then led us to her boarding facility near Castroville.

The place had two other horses in the pasture and two llamas in the paddock. Jamie explained that she and her family boarded mostly dogs and cats, but they have 16 fenced acres and also care for other animals. It turned out that Jamie has been a Junior and College Rodeo champion and has ridden horses all of her life.

Our horses were well treated for the week that we had them at All Creatures and we will be back.

• Pros: Great horse knowledge and 10+ willing attitude!
• Cons: Fences are a bit run down but they are in the process of upgrading the facility.

Wonderful Country Place for Animals

Ever try to board a flock of sheep for a month? I recently moved from San Juan Bautista to Washington State. The only worry that I had was what was to become of my pet sheep (11 of them).

I called around and no one wanted sheep. They took dogs and cats, but no "herd animals". I finally talked to someone at Oxten Kennels in Salinas and they suggested ALL CREATURES.

I called and talked to Mike, the owner, and he assured me that he could not only care for my sheep, but could pick them up in his horse trailer. I visited the place and discovered that he has 16 acres and already had horses and two llamas that he was caring for.

We came to an agreement and Mike took wonderful care of my flock for a month, while I got situated in Washington.

ALL CREATURES is highly recommended!

Outstanding Boarding Kennels

All Creatures is truly as it says...an all creatures facility. I called them on a thursday night about 9:00pm and talked with a young lady named Jamie. She assurred me that they would have room for our three dogs and two cats for a week. My brother died and we had to go out of town for that period of time. The next morning, I delivered all five animals to Mike (owner) at 6:00 am. He was professional and asked all of the right questions and made copies of all of the shot records. Mike even agreed to keep my grand daughter's two hampsters. We received a discount and they didn't charge us for watching the hampsters.

I'll be back any time I need a kennel!!

• Pros: A great "Can-Do" attitude from all I dealt with. Opened two hours before scheduled!

Great Kennel operation!

Mike and Jamie (daughter) did a terriffic job in taking care of my Irish Wolfhounds. They are huge dogs and not very friendly with strangers. While I was still there, they had both dogs litterally eating out of the palms of their hands. The dogs were there for a week while I had my house fumigated. They let me visit and there was no problem if I showed up after 6 O'Clock because they live on the property. They are highly recommended!
