Great shop and great prices

My expereince at the Bug Shop was excellent. They were very professional and were easy to deal with. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and solved my problem with ease. I own a Lexus so they are definitely able to work on cars other than VW's. If I had taken the car to a dealer (the closest one is in Richmond), I would have been charged way more for the same job. Their hourly labor rate is very reasonable. They had to tow my car into their shop and they arranged to have this done at a very resonable price as well. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs work done on their car.

Honest as the day is long

I walked into the Bug shop as a distant visitor from Alberta Canada. They could have taken me for a ride because they did not know me from Adam and visa versa. However, Juel and his team did amazing work on my difficult and troublesome problem with my Turbo.

It is rare to find mechanics who not only do good work but charge a reasonable price for labor. These guys do both. One word comes to mind in all of my dealings with Juel and the bug shop; INTEGRITY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will go back even though I am from Alberta Canada!!!

Service and Prices you can trust!

Don't let the name fool you. These guys work on every kind of car and truck, not just VWs! I am continually amazed by their low prices for labor. (That's really where the dealers seem to stick it to you!) as well as the best prices on parts. If you have an urgent need ( for example, my daughter needed a new battery installed asap) they can get you in at a moment's notice. They have a pick-up/delivery service as well. I love dealing with this shop--straight shooters, Southern charm and just plain all-around nice folks who care and know their stuff.

great people

Great shop if you have any problems with your VW or any other German made vehicle. i took my car there this summer to get it serviced and inspected....left spending more than i had planned but it was necessary to get my car running and safe. they know what they are doing in there and give the best opinions. i'm actually dropping my car off this morning for more work. i wouldn't trust any other shop in blacksburg with my jetta. i, too, am a female college student and also have never felt uncomfortable. they really are nice guys there
