My family as well as friends go to Topeka's often and the service is usually slow. They offer you rolls to keep you from being hungry, but then you are too full to eat your meal. They do serve the best rolls. Topeka's steaks are undersized and never cooked to satisfy the customer. Whether it is a Prime Rib or steak, it will always be undercooked and by the time you get your food back, everyone else is done with theirs. Take Out service is the worst. Your check is given promptly but your food takes forever and they always forget something that you paid for. Be sure to check your order before you leave or you will be mad! This has happened several times!

My sister and I visited this Topeka's for lunch and because the service took so long we were given a free dessert on our next visit. Reluctantly we returned a month later, after all we were due a free dessert. Well the service was again horrible, it took 35 minutes to be served two hamburgers which were unable to consume. The smelt and tasted like bad meat. As the waiter took our uneaten meals away he did not even ask why we had not eaten our meals. Since I knew only a free dessert was in our future I did not complain. And since the service was again slow we did not have enough time to receive our free dessert anyway. I will not visit this Topeka's again. The Chesapeake location however is wonderful.

Topeka's is the spot to go. The food is great, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the prices are excellent for the food that you get. Even the kids will love it.
