did not let me spend more than I needed to

I went in not knowing much about reloading, Darrel, made sure that I understood everything that I needed to know, did not have me spend more than I needed but made sure that I had all I needed. From doing a little research on the internet I thought I was going to need much more that I did and spend a lot more money for each item. One of the other employees even took the time to helped take my purchases out to the car. There staff is older, skilled, and friendly.

All the customers in the store that day were equally friendly and helpful. The shop is incredibly well stocked, I hope to go back soon to just check out all they have.

• Cons: Hours are hard for my schedule.

Honest, good and friendly business best describes them.

These guys are really great. My experience doing business with them has been so outstanding that it has prompted me to write this review. I use to know nothing about guns, but I was treated with respect from the start. They do exactly what they say they're going to do and if you have a problem, they fix it, right away. Honest, good and friendly business best describes them.

I am a busy professional with less than zero time to write web reviews (for gun shops or otherwise), but this mom and pop shop in Petaluma has really got my attention! With all the BSers and snake-oil salesmen I deal with everyday I can say is the world would be a much better place if everybody did business like this little gun shop does...

Awful customer service

This is one of the best stores of its kind. Unfortunately, its customer service leaves very little to be desired. I had a dispute over a matter, which was eventually resolved, but it was an awful experience for me. I will never shop there again. Online stores give me better customer service.

Competent/attentive

I was there on a Saturday about 2pm and was alone with the store manager. He courteously answered questions about blackpowder items and then a rush of customers came in. I told him to work with them and he did. An assistant came in and helped me finish buying the books I was interested in. I always felt the store was well-stocked, the staff polite and I got what I went there for and more. I will go back.

• Pros: Parking, selection, pricing is good
• Cons: Not enough staff on Saturday afternoon for about 40 minutes

Always closed when i visit, and treated rudely when asking simple questions...

First of all, i cant stand when you call or visit a gun store and they treat you like an idiot if you dont know everything there is to know about guns. I was treated this way several times and i do know alot about guns. They should be friendly and helpful, thats how you treat a customer, its just good business. Second, they're hours are 10-5 -tues. thru saturday. Seven out of the last eight times ive been there they're closed. Do they really deserve my business? NO.
