I am a resident of Red Cliff Manor and all that has been said before is true. The people here seem friendly at the on-set, but many of them are here because a relative has left them here.

This is not assisted living, but there are people who treat you as if you should be at assisted living.

It is true that if you are friends with management, you can break many rules and not have to be written up about it.

The pool hours used to be seven til ten and that worked out for many people just fine, but then they were changed from nine to nine and the hours for children went from being ten to four to ten to one, according to what one resident here told me she was told.

The look but don't touch statement is so true.

It is a management friendly place, but not senior friendly.

Look don't touch with more gossip than you can entertain

Hi, I am a tenant at Red Cliff Manor and I have no intention of leaving because, it is low income senior housing and the facilities are beautiful. Therd are 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, mostly 1 bedroom. They are small but adequate and boast a laundry room in every apartment as well as pay machines aacessable to all. The facilities are beautiful and will remain so because use of them is discouraged. They brag about the pool and even have children's hours. The problem is that management changes the hours on whim and will close the pool with any excuse including changing the excuse when told the reasoning is faulty. Housing here is not assisted living, however, management treats tenants as though this was a rest home, including unlawful entry and monitoring visitors. They will not hesitate to let you know when you are having too many visitors. Harrassment is not out of the question. Rules change per individual and without any paper trail. BBQ grills are not allowed on your patio but, a gas BBQ grill with propane is provided in the gazebo. You can invite family and friends to come eat with you in the gazebo, but be prepared to feed a hundred people because private parties are not allowed unless you are the manager. Babysitting is also not allowed unless you are the manager or a member of management's select group. Rules are enforced for tenants and not for management. Although this is federally subsidized housing, if you complain, management may suggest you leave. Is it worth it? I am staying but be aware, with so many retired people, the main activity here is your business and management is a great source of gossip including finances. As the property is family owned and operated, management is fully supported by the owners and professionalism is unknown where vindictiveness, meanness, pettiness and stupidity abound. You decide before you spend all your moving money and are stuck in a physically beautiful facility - look don't touch.

  • Pros: Physically beautiful
  • Cons: Look don't touch and your business is my business

Do you like dictatorship? This is the place for you!

Rules change every day. You have no peace to yourself. The next stop to the morgue. There are more people who complain than there are people happy here. You have nosy neighbors. Whether you are LDS or not, the RSP comes to check on you....with the help of the manager. If you want to eat in the gazebo, bring enough for a hundred people. It's not really set up for older people or disabled. Inspections every six months...sometimes every three months. The Smoke Alarms go off at three in the morning. Sometimes they have fire drills at three in the morning. You can't go out of your apartment if you are dressed inappropriately....even if the fire drill is at three in the morning. The manager's never in the office when you need her. If you don't drive, your guests can't park close to your apartment because the parking spaces are assigned and if you don't have a car, you can't have one any closer than either the back or the front of the building. You have a patio door, but not allowed to use it.
